Why psychoanalysis?

There is something singular about your experience of being alive and about your suffering. In psychoanalysis the focus is on your particular way to construct meaning and inhabit the world, even when it doesn’t fit into everyday norms or expectations.

Perhaps you're confused by repeating the same pattern over and over again in your love relationships, maybe you are depressed, feeling stuck, unable to act or pursue anything, feeling hopeless or apathetic, or you might be struggling with questions about identity or sexuality... Psychoanalysis posits that all these difficulties point to a personal truth that insists to be uncovered and heard.

In each session you’re given the space to speak openly, without judgment or pressure to meet expectations. This should encourage you to explore thoughts, memories, dreams and wishes even when they feel random or unconvincing. The analyst is led by your words and will listen carefully, intervening in a way that aims to facilitate hidden material to be voiced.
